All about Mrs. Hoffman Diaz....
I graduated with my B.A. in Elementary Education from The University of Arizona, Bear Down!!!! (The best of the Arizona colleges, of course)! After graduating, I taught 3rd grade at Keen Elementary in Tucson, AZ for one year.
Then, I moved to Denton, Texas. Where I attended The University of North Texas, (Go, Mean Green!). I graduated with my Master's degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Recreation and Leisure Studies. After only a year and a half in Texas, I quickly returned to Arizona. I had all the tornado warnings, ice storms, and snow I could handle.
In July, of 2003, I began teaching in South Phoenix, where I taught 2nd grade for 5 years, Kindergarten for 1 year and 3rd grade gifted for 3 years.
This will be my 11th year teaching in the state of Arizona. Now, I start a new career at Highland Lakes in the Renaissance Gifted Academy as a 1st and 2nd grade teacher. I am looking forward to a wonderful year learning and teaching.
I am so lucky to work with such an amazing group of educators and students. I truly love my job and would never dream of doing anything else with my life. I respect and honor this huge privilege and responsibility it is to teach children.
